O: Weighed, right elbow feels stable, x ray confirmed callus formation of chip fracture. Good extension. Visually tracked in hand, Ocular trauma static to last check. Banded Red/Purple and put in box to take to OF.

A: BAR, unknown how visual bird is as he has yet to self feed inside, but could be due to stress or darkness of cage or being offered dead food. Right elbow fracture stable with good extension

P: Monitor in outdoor enclosure, will need live prey testing. Monitor interaction with other BDOW in flight

O: Collected fecal from cage, collect blood from right leg. Noted sharp points at right elbow - skyline rad confirms chip fracture on humerus. Ocular trauma severe - unsure if patient will regain enough vision for release. Gave meds and fluids.

A: Chip fracture of right humerus at elbow - should heal without wrap as elbow feels stable. Patient is very QAR and not visually aware.

P: Monitor stability of right elbow otherwise CCP. Vet check Friday to see if there is any visual improvements.

O: Performed full intake exam and took radiographs. Gave 0.76 cc dexamethasone IM. Gave 30 cc LRS SQ in R leg inguinal area. Gave 1 drop oflox OS.

Head/mouth/beak: Some blood present in mouth. Mouth slightly tacky.
Ears: Bruisind AU, blood in AD
Eyes: Heavily reduced PLRs OU. Retinal detachment and tears OU. OD tear at pectin. OS tear at pectin and at 11 o clock. Corneal abrasion OS- a horizontal line just cranial of the center of the eye. No dye uptake OD.
Wings: NSF

Feather condition: All tail feathers tipped. R P7 broken, impable. R P6,5,4 in blood. R P10, 9, 1 tipped.
Ectoparasites: feather lice
Radiographic findings: Full stomach

A: Pt has sustained head and ocular trauma from a vehicular collision. Based on the extent of damage to OS, it is unlikely he'll regain a significant amount of sight from that eye. The damage to OD is less extensive and may heal enough to be releasable. Dex injection will help this. There is also major feather damage to the R wing. Should the pt recover, the wing may need imped in order to fly. Overall, head and ocular trauma result in a guarded prognosis for this bird. We will need to monitor his condition closely.

4/30- fecal, vet check, blood
